Demand for cosmetic surgery seems to have declined along with the economy. That means some practitioners may be dropping their prices. With the recession in 2008, the number of cosmetic surgeries dropped 9 percent. The number of breast augmentations, tummy tucks and liposuctions were down even more. But some procedures increased. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, less invasive procedures such as Botox and cosmetic or dermal fillers were up by just under 10 percent.
