Aesthetic Surgery Journal. says that 40 percent of people who get cosmetic surgery have used herbal products in the weeks beforehand. That can be dangerous, because alternative medications and herbs can interact with drugs you may be given during plastic surgery. Some can make you more likely to have a bleeding issue. Others may affect things like your heart rate. Always discuss what you take with your surgeon beforehand.
