Radiofrequency Used For Body Sculpting

July 27, 2009

Yet another technique is being used for cosmetic surgery. A new procedure called BodyTite is being used for body sculpting.

Make sure you see our conditions of use for the cosmeticprocedureinfo.org website

BodyTite uses radiofrequency and traditional cannulas to produce a liposuction effect. A cannula is the instrument that is inserted under the skin to suck out fat during liposuction. The manufacturer of BodyTite says this particular procedure results in both fat reduction and skin tightening. The manufacturer also says the new procedure causes less bruising and results in less down time. But don't run out to get it yet in the US. Bodytite has not been approved for use in the US. Traditional liposuction procedures that have been approved include tumescent liposuction, laser lipo and SmartLipo.
